The Cabin at Whidbey Island

This custom cabin is the product of a rare kind of collaboration: Maggie Smith is an interior designer who we’ve partnered with many times over the years, and her trust in our craftsmanship led her to ask us to build her own custom retreat. That trust shows in every detail.

The project called for a high level of construction precision throughout: a standing-seam metal roof and board-and-batten exterior, vaulted ceilings, custom millwork and cabinetry, and detailed stone and tile work in the bathrooms. Every element was built to hold up to daily use and Pacific Northwest weather while supporting a fairly exacting design vision.
